Based on the deformation mechanism of closed-packed hexagonal (CPH) structure material, an analytical method, which reflects temperature, strain and strain rate effect by introducing temperature-compensated strain rate (Zener-Hollomon parameter), is proposed in this article.Abstract:
Accurate flow stress model is crucial for investigating magnesium alloys deformation behavior at the elevated temperatures. Based on the deformation mechanism of closed-packed hexagonal (CPH) structure material, an analytical method, which reflects temperature, strain and strain rate effect by introducing temperature-compensated strain rate (Zener–Hollomon parameter), is proposed in this study. The model has been applied on three published experimental data and predicted flow stress curves match well with those measurements.read more
