TLDR
The 2011 WHO Guidelines for Drinking-Water Quality (fourth edition) advised a health-based value of 70μg/L for Mo but this is no longer promulgated as a formal guideline value as WHO consider such concentrations to be rarely found in drinking water as discussed by the authors.

Density Functional Theory Calculations of Equilibrium Mo Isotope Fractionation Factors among MoOxS4–x2– Species in the Aqueous Phase by the ONIOM Method

TL;DR: In this paper , a two-layer own N-layer integrated molecular orbital molecular mechanics (ONIOM) method was used to predict the reduced partition function ratios (β factors) of the MoOxS42− species in aqueous phases.

Flame and Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectrometry in Environmental Analysis

TL;DR: AAS is an optical atomic spectrometric technique based on the measurement of the specific absorption originated from the free, unionized atoms in the gas phase as discussed by the authors , which is a well-established technique for the quantitative determination of elements in environmental materials at trace and ultratrace levels.
Journal ArticleDOI

Assessment of Molybdenum and Antimony speciation in excavated rocks and soils from the Parisian basin using mineralogical and chemical analyses coupled to geochemical modelling

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used direct and indirect methods of mineralogical and chemical characterizations coupled to geochemical modelling in the objective to determine the speciation and potential mobility of Molybdenum and Antimony in 4 samples of excavated rocks and soils from the Parisian basin.
Journal ArticleDOI

Trace elements, peripheral blood film, and gene expression status in adolescents living near an industrial area in the Colombian Caribbean Coastline.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the levels of trace elements, together with cellular and molecular biomarkers, in adolescents from Tierrabomba Island, a Caribbean community located near an industrial area, comparing them with a group living in San Onofre, a reference community.

User's guide to PHREEQC (Version 2)-a computer program for speciation, batch-reaction, one-dimensional transport, and inverse geochemical calculations

TL;DR: PHREEQC as discussed by the authors is a C program written in the C programming language that is designed to perform a wide variety of low-temperature aqueous geochemical calculations.

The composition of the continental crust

TL;DR: In this paper, a new calculation of the crustal composition is based on the proportions of upper crust (UC) to felsic lower crust (FLC) to mafic lower-crust (MLC) of about 1.6:0.4.
Journal ArticleDOI

Abundance of chemical elements in the continental crust: a new table

TL;DR: In this article, a table of element abundances in the continental crust, calculated on the basis of a 1:1 mixture of granite and basalt abundances, is presented.
