TLDR
The 2011 WHO Guidelines for Drinking-Water Quality (fourth edition) advised a health-based value of 70μg/L for Mo but this is no longer promulgated as a formal guideline value as WHO consider such concentrations to be rarely found in drinking water as discussed by the authors.

Cadmium in soils and groundwater: A review.

TL;DR: The elevated mobilization potential, e.g., through competition and ligand induced desorption, is the reason for faster Cd release from soil into groundwater than other heavy metals.

The impact of igneous bedrock weathering on the Mo isotopic composition of stream waters: Natural samples and laboratory experiments

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of igneous crustal rock weathering on the aquatic δ 98 / 95 Mo signal was investigated by comparing stream water and bedrock Mo isotope data to results of bulk rock leach experiments.
Journal ArticleDOI

Molybdenum-Doped Manganese Oxide as a Highly Efficient and Economical Water Oxidation Catalyst

TL;DR: In this paper, a facile co-precipitation method, followed by thermal postsynthetic treatment in N2/air, was developed to synthesize molybdenum-doped α-Mn2O3 materials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Molybdenum Burial Mechanism in Sulfidic Sediments: Iron-Sulfide Pathway

TL;DR: In this paper, the composition and stability of colloidal FeMoS4 precipitates formed at mildly basic pH and H2S(aq) > 10-5 M were determined.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Sealing Step in Aluminum Anodizing: A Focus on Sustainable Strategies for Enhancing Both Energy Efficiency and Corrosion Resistance

TL;DR: In this paper, the second highest energy consuming step in aluminum anodization and a step with significant environmental impacts has been critical reviewed in this systematic review, focusing on the need to reduce both the energy input in the anodic oxide process and environmental implications.

Climax-Type Porphyry Molybdenum Deposits

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a survey of geologic features and environmental features before mining and health concerns related to mining or mining or mineral processing, including potential environmental and health risks.

Early Breakthrough of Molybdenum and Uranium in a Permeable Reactive Barrier

TL;DR: A permeable reactive barrier using zerovalent iron was installed at a site near Cañon City, CO, to treat molybdenum and uranium in groundwater and results indicated that the ZVI from the PRB was still reactive for removing Mo and that removal rates were dependent on residence time and pH.
Journal ArticleDOI

The solubility of molybdenum in simplified systems and aqueous soil suspensions

TL;DR: The main process in the sorption studies was probably adsorption of molybdate by anion exchange with hydroxyl ions as mentioned in this paper, which was probably the main process for the removal of free ferric oxide from solution.
