In this article, the role of global fluctuations in the density of states of the SYK model is investigated, showing that the dominant diagrams are given by 1PI cactus graphs and derive a vector model of couplings which reproduces these results.
Abstract
We consider multi-energy level distributions in the SYK model, and in particular, the role of global fluctuations in the density of states of the SYK model The connected contributions to the moments of the density of states go to zero as $N \to \infty$, however, they are much larger than the standard RMT correlations We provide a diagrammatic description of the leading behavior of these connected moments, showing that the dominant diagrams are given by 1PI cactus graphs, and derive a vector model of the couplings which reproduces these results We generalize these results to the first subleading corrections, and to fluctuations of correlation functions In either case, the new set of correlations between traces (ie between boundaries) are not associated with, and are much larger than, the ones given by topological wormholes The connected contributions that we discuss are the beginning of an infinite series of terms, associated with more and more information about the ensemble of couplings, which hints towards the dual of a single realization In particular, we suggest that incorporating them in the gravity description requires the introduction of new, lighter and lighter, fields in the bulk with fluctuating boundary couplings

Power-law out of time order correlation functions in the SYK model

TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluate the finite temperature partition sum and correlation functions of the SYK model and show that at time scales proportional to the number of particles, the out-of-time order correlation function crosses over from a regime of exponential decay to a universal t−6 power-law behavior.

Analytical spectral density of the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model at finite N

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors derived an approximate analytical spectral density of the SYK model by summing a class of diagrams representing leading intersecting contractions, and showed that the spectral density can be approximated by the suppression factor of the contribution of intersecting Wick contractions relative to nested contractions.

Double-trace operators and one-loop vacuum energy in AdS/CFT

TL;DR: In this paper, a one-loop calculation of the vacuum energy of a tachyon field in anti-char21{}de Sitter space with boundary conditions corresponding to the presence of a double-trace operator in the dual field theory was performed.

Multiple-Trace Operators and Non-Local String Theories

TL;DR: In this article, a novel deformation of string perturbation theory, involving non-local interactions between strings, is proposed to describe the gravity duals of field theories deformed by multiple-trace operators.

Spectral form factor in a random matrix theory

TL;DR: In this paper, the Fourier transform of the two-level correlation function with respect to the difference of energies is studied for the Gaussian unitary ensemble model, where the Hamiltonian is the sum of a deterministic part and a Gaussian random potential potential.
