TLDR
In this paper, the transmission properties of a Fabry-Perot resonator, filled with Na vapor in absence of buffer gas, are systematically examined as the laser frequency is tuned across the D1 line, at different values of temperature and magnetic field.

Effect of spontaneously generated coherence on optical bistability in three-level Λ-type atomic system

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of spontaneously generated coherence in the presence of two arbitrary coherent fields are investigated for a three-level atomic system in Λ-configuration contained in an optical ring cavity.

Realization of all-optical multistate switching in an atomic coherent medium.

TL;DR: The shape of the OM curve can be significantly modified by changing the power of the control laser field and an all-optical multistate switching or coding element is realized and flexibly controlled by adding a pulse sequence to the input (probe) intensity.

Polarization-ellipse rotation by induced gyrotropy in atomic vapors

TL;DR: Theoretically and experimentally a new mechanism for the rotation of the polarization ellipse of a single laser beam propagating through an atomic vapor with a frequency tuned near an atomic resonance is studied.

Optical nonlinear dynamics with cold atoms in a cavity

TL;DR: In this paper, the nonlinear dynamics of laser cooled and trapped cesium atoms placed inside an optical cavity and interacting with a probe light beam slightly detuned from the 6 S 1 2 F=4 to 6 P 3 2 F =5 transition were presented.

Differential Gain and Bistability Using a Sodium-Filled Fabry-Perot Interferometer

TL;DR: Differential gain and large hysteresis have been seen in the transmission of a Fabry-Perot interferometer containing Na vapor irradiated by light from a cw dye laser.

Nonabsorption resonances by nonlinear coherent effects in a three-level system

TL;DR: The behaviour of a three-level system consisting of two ground-state sub-levels optically coupled to a common excited state is analyzed in this article, where exact steady solution of the semi-classical equations of motion for the density matrix is obtained (within the RWA) and numerically investigated when the frequency difference of the two applied fields becomes equal to the frequency splitting of the lower levels, a mechanism of transverse optical pumping takes place that accumulates all the atoms in a coherent superposition state of the ground sublevels, in which they are no longer able to

OBSERVATION OF THE ELECTRIC HEXADECAPOLE MOMENT OF FREE Na ATOMS IN A FORWARD SCATTERING EXPERIMENT

TL;DR: In this paper, an electric hexadecapole moment in the ground state of free sodium atoms was observed, and the ΔmF = 4 coherence, which corresponds to this moment, was created by the light field of a cw dye laser.
