Flemingins G-O, cytotoxic and antioxidant constituents of the leaves of Flemingia grahamiana.

TL;DR: Nine new chalcones, named flemingins G-O (4-12), along with deoxyhomoflemingin and emodin, were isolated from a leaf extract of Flemingia grahamiana and were found to have a geranyl substituent modified into a chromene ring possessing a residual chain, as shown by spectroscopic methods.

Competitive neutrophil elastase inhibitory isoflavones from the roots of Flemingia philippinensis

TL;DR: The prenyl functionality of isoflavones significantly affected inhibitory potencies and mechanistic behavior by shifting the competitive mode to a noncompetitive one.

Naturally occurring prenylated chalcones from plants: structural diversity, distribution, activities and biosynthesis.

TL;DR: Naturally occurring chalcones carrying up to three modified or unmodified C5-, C10-, and C15-prenyl moieties on both rings A and B as well as at the α- and β-carbons are widely distributed in plants of the families of Fabaceae, Moraceae, Zingiberaceae and Cannabaceae.

Flemingin-Type Prenylated Chalcones from the Sarawak Rainforest Plant Desmodium congestum.

TL;DR: Two new prenylated chalcones were isolated, closely related to the flemingins previously isolated from various Flemingia species, which exhibited moderate activity against a panel of Gram-positive bacteria and were also cytotoxic to the HEK293 human embryonic kidney cell line.
