Quantum bounds for gravitational de Sitter entropy and the Cardy-Verlinde formula

Abstract: We analyze different types of quantum corrections to the Cardy-Verlinde entropy formula in a Friedmann-Robertson-Walker universe and in an (anti)-de Sitter space. In all cases we show that quantum corrections can be represented by an effective cosmological constant which is then used to redefine the parameters entering the Cardy-Verlinde formula so that it becomes valid also with quantum corrections, a fact that we interpret as a further indication of its universality. A proposed relation between Cardy-Verlinde formula and the ADM Hamiltonian constraint is given.

The Cardy–Verlinde formula and entropy of the charged rotating BTZ black hole

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the entropy of black hole horizon in charged rotating BTZ space can be described by the Cardy-Verlinde formula, which is supposed to be an entropy formula of conformal field theory in any dimension.

Critical and off-critical studies of the Baxter-Wu model with general toroidal boundary conditions

TL;DR: In this article, the operator content of the Baxter-Wu model with general toroidal boundary conditions is calculated analytically and numerically by relating the partition function of the model with the generating function of a site-colouring problem in a hexagonal lattice.

Conformal invariance, the central charge, and universal finite-size amplitudes at criticality.

TL;DR: It is shown that for conformally invariant two-dimensional systems, the amplitude of the finite-size corrections to the free energy of an infinitely long strip of width L at criticality is linearly related to the conformal anomaly number c, for various boundary conditions.
