Low temperature synthesis and photoluminescence properties of red emitting Mg2SiO4:Eu3+ nanophosphor for near UV light emitting diodes

TL;DR: A simple and low-cost solution combustion method was used to prepare Eu 3+ (1 − 11 −mol%) doped Mg 2 SiO 4 nanophosphors at 350 −°C using metal nitrates as precursors and ODH (Oxali di-hydrazide) as fuel.

Electronic polarizability, dielectric, and gamma-ray shielding properties of some tellurite-based glasses

TL;DR: In this paper, five samples of tellurite-based glasses with chemical composition TeO2-ZnO-NiO coded as TZN1-TZN5 have been reported to investigate their optical and gamma-ray shielding properties.

MgO:Eu3+ red nanophosphor: low temperature synthesis and photoluminescence properties.

TL;DR: The international commission on illumination (CIE) chromaticity co-ordinates were calculated from emission spectra, the values (x, y) were very close to national television system committee (NTSC) standard value of red emission, therefore the present phosphor was highly useful for display applications.

Photoluminescence, photocatalysis and Judd–Ofelt analysis of Eu3+-activated layered BiOCl phosphors

TL;DR: Eu3+-activated layered BiOCl phosphors were synthesized by the conventional solid-state method at relatively low temperature and shorter duration (400 °C for 1 h). All the samples were crystallized in the tetragonal structure with the space group P4/nmm as discussed by the authors.

Ag nanoparticles induced luminescence enhancement of Eu3+ doped phosphate glasses

TL;DR: In this article, a thermal annealing process was proposed to control the aggregation and growth of Ag NPs in Eu3+ doped phosphate glass containing silver nanoparticles (NPs) and the observed enhancement of photoluminescence and the PL lifetime relative to 5D0 → 7F2 transitions were explained not only by the energy transfer ions, but NPs to Eu 3+ ions but also by the enhancement of local field effect LFE induced by SPR of silver NPs.
