Gray bootstrap method for estimating frequency-varying random vibration signals with small samples

TL;DR: In this paper, the Gray bootstrap method (GBM) is proposed to solve the problem of estimating frequency-varying RVS with small samples. And the result shows that GBM has superiority for estimating dynamic signals with small sample and estimated reliability is proved to be 100% at the given confidence level.

Stochastic Modeling of Time Series with Application to Local Damage Detection in Rotating Machinery

TL;DR: In this article, a statistical modeling of vibration time series is proposed to identify the structural components of a rotating machine, such as damage related to one (or more) of its part, some noise, etc.
Journal ArticleDOI

Output-only modal parameter estimator of linear time-varying structural systems based on vector TAR model and least squares support vector machine

TL;DR: In this article, a vector time-dependent autoregressive model and least squares support vector machine based modal parameter estimator for linear time-varying structural systems in case of output-only measurements is presented.

Strain features and condition assessment of orthotropic steel deck cable-supported bridges subjected to vehicle loads by using dense FBG strain sensors

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper conducted a comprehensive study of the strain features of U ribs and transverse diaphragm on an orthotropic steel deck and proposed a statistical paradigm for crack detection based on the features of vehicle-induced strain response by using the densely distributed optic fibre Bragg grating (FBG) strain sensors.

Estimating the Dimension of a Model

TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of selecting one of a number of models of different dimensions is treated by finding its Bayes solution, and evaluating the leading terms of its asymptotic expansion.
