An Uncoupling Strategy in the Newmark Method for Dynamic Problems
TL;DR: The present paper focuses on the development of a numerical strategy to decouple the resulting system by means of the implicit unconditionally stable Newmark method, allowing the parts to be solved independently, and through an iterative procedure, managing to preserve the stability and accuracy properties of the original method.
Journal ArticleDOI
Non-intrusive reduced order models for partitioned fluid-structure interactions
TL;DR: In this paper , a data-driven reduced order model (ROM) strategy was developed from high-fidelity simulation result data of a full-order model (FOM) to predict at lower computational cost the time evolution of solutions of Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI) problems.

An Edge-Based Smoothed Finite-Element Method for Vortex-Induced Vibration in Generalized Newtonian Fluids
Tao He,Xu‐Yan Zhang,Wenjuan Yao +2 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the edge-based smoothed finite element method (ESFEM) was applied to vortex-induced vibration (VIV) of a circular cylinder in generalized Newtonian fluids.

A numerical assessment of partitioned implicit methods for thermomechanical problems
TL;DR: In this paper , the spatial and time-discrete thermomechanical problem is reformulated as an equivalent root-finding problem using single-field solvers and compared with the fixed-point method, Aitken relaxation, multisecant quasi-Newton methods, Newton-Krylov method, and polynomial vector extrapolation techniques in cycling mode, which are selected from the relevant literature.
Stability and time integration of partitioned fluid-structure interaction problems at supersonic Mach numbers
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present some results on the time integration stability when solving fluid/structure interaction problems with strong coupled staged strategies, using the flutter of a flat plate faced with a fluid at Mach between 1.8 and 3.
