Pattern recognition using type-II fuzzy sets
TL;DR: With this new similarity measure, it is shown that type-II fuzzy sets provide us with a natural language for formulating classification problems in pattern recognition.
Journal ArticleDOI
Elastic Matching of Line Drawings
TL;DR: Examples are shown on handprint and animation, suggesting the use of dynamic matching for shape recognition and for motion correspondence, and extending the model to line drawings.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Quantitative measures of change based on feature organization: eigenvalues and eigenvectors
Sudeep Sarkar,K.L. Boyer +1 more
TL;DR: Four measures of image organizational change are proposed which can be used to monitor construction activity based on the thesis that the progress of construction will see a change in the individual image feature attributes as well as an evolution in the relationships among these features.
Journal ArticleDOI
Neural fraud detection in credit card operations
TL;DR: This paper presents an online system for fraud detection of credit card operations based on a neural classifier that is fully operational and currently handles more than 12 million operations per year with very satisfactory results.

A New Approximate Maximal Margin Classification Algorithm
TL;DR: A new incremental learning algorithm is described which approximates the maximal margin hyperplane w.r.t. norm p ≥ 2 for a set of linearly separable data and is as fast as on-line algorithms, such as Rosenblatt's Perceptron algorithm.
