Pseudo random number generator based on quantum chaotic map

TLDR
A new scheme for generating good pseudo-random numbers (PRNG), based on quantum logistic map, which is not complex, which does not impose high requirement on computer hardware and thus computation speed is fast.

A novel pseudorandom number generator based on pseudorandomly enhanced logistic map

TL;DR: Based on security results, few arithmetic operations required, and high output rate, the proposed PRNG–PELM scheme can be implemented in secure encryption applications, even in embedded systems with limited hardware resources.

A color image encryption with heterogeneous bit-permutation and correlated chaos

TL;DR: The author employs heterogeneous bit-permutation to reduce computation cost and improve permutation efficiency, then performs expanded XOR operation for R, G, B components of color images, and obtains cipher color images.

A pseudorandom number generator based on piecewise logistic map

TL;DR: A novel pseudorandom number generator (PRNG) based on the piecewise logistic map is proposed, since the cryptographic properties of the PLM are enhanced, the presented PRNG achieves a trade-off between efficiency and security.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cross-utilizing hyperchaotic and DNA sequences for image encryption

TL;DR: The experiment results demonstrate that the encryption algorithm achieves the performance of the state-of-the-art methods in terms of quality, security, and robustness against noise and cropping attack.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hardware implementation of pseudo-random number generators based on chaotic maps

TL;DR: The usefulness of bifurcation diagrams to implement a pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) based on chaotic maps is shown and the one based on the Bernoulli shift map is shown to be better.

Mersenne twister: a 623-dimensionally equidistributed uniform pseudo-random number generator

TL;DR: A new algorithm called Mersenne Twister (MT) is proposed for generating uniform pseudorandom numbers, which provides a super astronomical period of 2 and 623-dimensional equidistribution up to 32-bit accuracy, while using a working area of only 624 words.

Quantum cryptography

TL;DR: A protocol for coin-tossing by exchange of quantum messages is presented, which is secure against traditional kinds of cheating, even by an opponent with unlimited computing power, but ironically can be subverted by use of a still subtler quantum phenomenon, the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen paradox.
