Recent Trends in Fate, Transport, and Transformation of Inorganic and Organic Carbon in Freshwater Reservoirs
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors explore the role of freshwater reservoirs in the global carbon cycle and discuss the processes involved in accumulation, transformation, and transportation of the C in reservoir system.
Dissertation
Dynamic forcing of oxygen, iron, and manganese fluxes at the sediment-water interface in lakes and reservoirs
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present an executive summary on biogeochemical cycling of O2, Fe, and Mn and drinking water quality, and present a table and a list of tables.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Study of carbonaceous gases fluxes at the Irkutsk water reservoir in the warm season
TL;DR: In this article, the spatial distribution of the direction of carbon dioxide and methane fluxes at the Irkutsk water reservoir and their variability in the warm season was studied, and it was shown that in the summer-fall period the intense photosynthetic activity of biota leads to a significant decrease in the carbon dioxide concentration in water.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spatial variations of dissolved greenhouse gases and emission fluxes in a large reservoir during the stratification and mixing periods
TL;DR: For example, this paper reported a 0.071±0.044 mmol/(m2·d),是大气CH4的源ﲌ空间分布为库尾>库中>

Portraying the Nutrient Variability with Relation to Variation in Partial Pressure of Carbon Dioxide in an Aquaculture Pond of Indian Sundarbans
TL;DR: A microcosm study has been done to explain the disparities of nutrient variability vis-a-vis the partial pressure of carbon dioxide (CO2) in water [pCO2(water)] of brackish water pond of Frazergaunge, Namkhana block, Indian Sundarbans as discussed by the authors.

Biogeochemistry : An Analysis of Global Change
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a perspective of the global cycle of nitrogen and phosphorous, the global water cycle, and the global sulfur cycle from a global point of view.

Northern Peatlands: Role in the Carbon Cycle and Probable Responses to Climatic Warming.
TL;DR: Satellite-monitoring of the abundance of open water in the peatlands of the West Siberian Plain and the Hudson/James Bay Lowland is suggested as a likely method of detecting early effects of climatic warming upon boreal and subarctic peatland environments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Flux of Gases across the Air-Sea Interface
Peter S. Liss,P. G. Slater +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the use of a two-layer model to estimate the flux of various gases across the air-sea interface has been described, and the model has been used to estimate flux of different gases across different regions of the world.
Book
Water in crisis: a guide to the world's fresh water resources
TL;DR: In this article, an introduction to global fresh water issues is presented. But the authors focus on water quality and health, not just water quality, and do not address the issues of water management and economic development.
