Daily CO 2 partial pressure and CO 2 outgassing in the upper Yangtze River basin: a case study of Longchuanjiang, China

TL;DR: In this paper, an unprecedented high-temporal-resolution (daily) sampling during July 2008-August 2009 was conducted from the Longchuanjiang River of the upper Yangtze basin, a subtropical monsoon river in China to reveal the daily-to-seasonal dynamics of the partial pressure of CO2 (pCO2) and CO2 degassing flux from the river.
Journal ArticleDOI

Carbon Dioxide Emissions from Reservoirs in the Lower Jordan Watershed.

TL;DR: The results indicate a strong influence of water and reservoir management on CO2 emission rates, which is affected by the increasing anthropogenic pressure on the limited water resources in the study area.
Journal ArticleDOI

Changes in Water Chemistry Associated with Rainstorm Events Increase Carbon Emissions from the Inflowing River Mouth of a Major Drinking Water Reservoir.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors conducted a set of frequent observations prior to and following a rainstorm event in a major reservoir Lake Qiandao (China; 580 km2) from June to July 2021 to investigate how rainstorms alter water chemistry and CO2 and CH4 emissions.

Climate Change 1995: The Science of Climate Change

TL;DR: The most comprehensive and up-to-date assessment available for scientific understanding of human influences on the past present and future climate is "Climate Change 1995: The Science of Climate Change" as mentioned in this paper.

Biogeochemistry : An Analysis of Global Change

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a perspective of the global cycle of nitrogen and phosphorous, the global water cycle, and the global sulfur cycle from a global point of view.
Journal ArticleDOI

Northern Peatlands: Role in the Carbon Cycle and Probable Responses to Climatic Warming.

TL;DR: Satellite-monitoring of the abundance of open water in the peatlands of the West Siberian Plain and the Hudson/James Bay Lowland is suggested as a likely method of detecting early effects of climatic warming upon boreal and subarctic peatland environments.
Journal ArticleDOI

Flux of Gases across the Air-Sea Interface

TL;DR: In this paper, the use of a two-layer model to estimate the flux of various gases across the air-sea interface has been described, and the model has been used to estimate flux of different gases across different regions of the world.

Water in crisis: a guide to the world's fresh water resources

TL;DR: In this article, an introduction to global fresh water issues is presented. But the authors focus on water quality and health, not just water quality, and do not address the issues of water management and economic development.
