Scanning the BFKL pomeron in elastic production of vector mesons at HERA

TLDR
In this article, the authors discuss how the energy and Q2 dependence of elastic production of vector mesons at HERA will allow scanning the dipole cross-section as a function of dipole size r. They also present predictions for the effective intercept in the kinematic range of the forthcoming HERA experiments, which can shed much light on the nonperturbative component of the pomeron.

Generalized parton distributions

Markus Diehl
- 01 Dec 2003 -
TL;DR: In this article, the authors give an overview of the theory for generalized parton distributions and their role in small-x physics, and present strategies for phenomenological analysis, including the use of these quantities for describing soft contributions to exclusive processes at large energy and momentum transfer.

Heavy-flavour and quarkonium production in the LHC era: from proton–proton to heavy-ion collisions

Anton Andronic, +60 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors review the study of open heavy-flavour and quarkonium production in high-energy hadronic collisions, as tools to investigate fundamental aspects of Quantum Chromodynamics, from the proton and nucleus structure at high energy to deconfinement and the properties of the Quark-Gluon Plasma.

Vector-meson electroproduction at small Bjorken-x and generalized parton distributions

TL;DR: In this article, a partonic subprocess is calculated to the lowest order of perturbative QCD taking into account the transverse momenta of the quark and antiquark as well as Sudakov suppressions.

Hard diffractive electroproduction of vector mesons in QCD.

TL;DR: This work deduces a kinematical boundary for the region of applicability of the decomposition of the hard amplitudes over powers of {ital Q}{sup 2} and/or a limit on the increase of the cross sections of hard processes at small {ital x}, and briefly analyze its consequences.
