Silver(I) Assisted Metal Exchange Reaction. A Generalized Synthesis of Tris-Chelated Copper(II) Complexes of Neutral N,N-Donors

TLDR
In this article, a direct synthetic route for the syntheses of hexacoordinated cupric complexes involving bidentate N,N-donor ligands has been elaborated, which has been successfully applied for the preparation of mixed-ligand tris(chelates).
Abstract
A novel and direct synthetic route for the syntheses of hexacoordinated cupric complexes involving bidentate N,N-donor ligands has been elaborated. This synthetic strategy has been successfully applied for the preparation of mixed-ligand tris(chelates).

Recent advances on the chemistry of transition metal complexes of 2-(arylazo)pyridines and its arylamino derivatives

TL;DR: Recent advancement on the redox properties of a selection of transition metal complexes of the azoaromatic ligands: bidentate L(1) [2-(arylazo)pyridine] and tridentate HL(2) [ 2-(aminoarylphenylazo) pyridine) are described and compared.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anticancer copper pyridine benzimidazole complexes: ROS generation, biomolecule interactions, and cytotoxicity.

TL;DR: DNA studies using agarose gel electrophoresis demonstrate strand cleavage by the complexes in the presence of ascorbate, which is mediated by reactive oxygen species (ROS), indicating that damage by ROS is responsible for the observed activity of the complexes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Designing copper(II) ternary complexes to generate radical cations of peptides in the gas phase: role of the auxiliary ligand.

TL;DR: Complexes containing a tri- or tetra-dentate ligand were found to be more effective at producing the peptide radical because in these instances competitive loss of the ligand from the complex is inhibited.

Copper curcuminoids containing anthracene groups: fluorescent molecules with cytotoxic activity.

TL;DR: The coordination chemistry of the new curcuminoid ligand, 1,7-(di-9-anthracene-1,6-heptadiene-3,5-dione), abbreviated 9Accm has been studied, resulting in two new copper-9Accm compounds, being the first two copper-curcuminoids crystallographically described.
