Vapor-liquid equilibrium thermodynamics of N2 + CH4 - Model and Titan applications
TL;DR: In this article, a thermodynamic model is presented for vapor-liquid equilibrium in the N2 + CH4 system, which is implicated in calculations of the Titan tropospheric clouds' vapor liquid equilibrium thermodynamics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Solid-liquid phase equilibrium for binary Lennard-Jones mixtures
TL;DR: In this paper, solid-liquid phase diagrams for binary mixtures of Lennard-Jones spheres using Monte Carlo simulation and the Gibbs-Duhem integration technique of Kofke are calculated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Titan’s atmosphere and surface liquid: New calculation using Statistical Associating Fluid Theory
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the PC-SAFT equation of state (EOS) in analyzing the in situ measurement of atmospheric data by Huygens probe to reveal new insights into Titan's atmosphere and surface liquids.

Density functional theory for the freezing of Lennard-Jones binary mixtures
Steven W. Rick,A. D. J. Haymet +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the density functional theory of freezing is used to study the freezing of binary Lennard-Jones mixtures, including models of real binary mixtures of argon, krypton, and methane.

Physical state of volatiles on the surface of Triton
TL;DR: The most recent analyses of infrared spectrophotometric studies of Neptune's satellite Triton concluded that both condensed methane and nitrogen are present as mentioned in this paper, and the most likely surface configuration is a liquid nitrogen (N_2) 'ocean' with dry areas of solid methane (CH_4), and perhaps some exposed fine-grained water frost (H_2O).

The solubility of non-electrolytes
TL;DR: Hildebrand's book is an exception as mentioned in this paper, since the reviewer has taken the opportunity to renew his acquaintance with the earlier as well as the later text, and has found this to be a most interesting experience, since the book is full of matter which is not dealt with adequately in the ordinary text-books of physical chemistry.

Vapor-Liquid equilibria for five cryogenic mixtures
F. B. Sprow,John M. Prausnitz +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, phase equilibrium data have been obtained for the binary systems nitrogen-argon and nitrogen-carbon monoxide at 83.82°K and 9.67°K, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determination of the solid-liquid equilibrium diagram for the nitrogen-methane system
TL;DR: In this article, the equilibrium between the solid and liquid phases of the nitrogen-methane system has been studied and the liquid and solidus curves together with the three phase line of the system are determined using a combined method comprising measurements of the total vapour pressure, the heat capacity and thermal analysis of mixtures of various concentrations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermodynamic properties of the system argon-methane liquid
TL;DR: In this paper, the average potential theory was compared to the experimental results of the trifluoro-chloromethane system, showing that the theoretical expressions appear 2 to 3 times larger than the experimental ones, presumably due to the relatively large value of ϱ=r22*)/r11 (about 12%).
