Deep neural network for manufacturing quality prediction
TL;DR: A deep neural network (DNN), consisting of a deep belief network (DBN) in the bottom and a regression layer on the top, is proposed in this paper, and shows that the DNN has good performance of the deep architecture, and overwhelms the peer shallow models.
Journal ArticleDOI
Joint Shewhart control charts for location and scale monitoring in finite horizon processes
TL;DR: Comparing the performance of several control charts jointly monitoring location and scale for observations with a location-scale distribution in a finite horizon process where a limited number of inspections is scheduled shows that the joint control charts implementing a signed-rank SR statistic and either the Downton's D estimator or the average absolute deviation MD from median generally perform the best.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Study on EWMA charts with runs rules—the Markov chain approach
TL;DR: In this article, a Markov chain approach for computing the ARL, percentiles of the run length (RL) distribution and SDRL, for the two runs rules schemes of Abbas et al. was presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
ISO/TS 16949: analysis of the diffusion and current trends
Fiorenzo Franceschini,Maurizio Galetto,Domenico Augusto Francesco Maisano,Luca Mastrogiacomo +3 more
TL;DR: This paper studies the global evolution and diffusion of this technical specification, observing its impact on local economies and its feature of unifying and harmonizing the already existing standards.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of a Charting Method to Monitor the Individual Performance of Surgeons at the Beginning of Their Career
Antoine Duclos,Matthew J. Carty,Jean-Louis Peix,Cyrille Colin,Stuart R. Lipsitz,Jean-Louis Kraimps,Fabrice Menegaux,François Pattou,Frederic Sebag,Nicolas Voirin,Sandrine Touzet,Stéphanie Bourdy,Jean-Christophe Lifante +12 more
TL;DR: The learning curve of young thyroidectomy surgeons was derived as a baseline to enable the accurate assessment of their individual outcomes and avoid erroneous conclusions that may derive from more traditional approaches.
