Lithium recovery from highly concentrated solutions: Response surface methodology (RSM) process parameters optimization
TL;DR: In this paper, the combined effect of molar ratio Al/Li, pH and stirring time on lithium trapping at 25°C was investigated and optimized using response surface methodology (RSM), and the optimum values of these factors were found to be 4.7, 7.2 and 3.2 respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rapid coral colonization of a recent lava flow following a volcanic eruption, Banda Islands, Indonesia
TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the early successional dynamics of coral communities following major volcanic eruptions and found that Tabulate acroporids were a dominant component of the lava flow coral community, with some colonies measuring over 90 cm in diameter.
Journal ArticleDOI
In situ extractive fermentation for the production of hexanoic acid from galactitol by Clostridium sp. BS-1.
Byoung Seung Jeon,Chuloo Moon,Byung-Chun Kim,Hyunook Kim,Youngsoon Um,Byoung-In Sang,Byoung-In Sang +6 more
TL;DR: Hexanoic acid production was obtained by in situ extractive fermentation with Clostridium sp.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interactive effects of selenium and arsenic on their uptake by Pteris vittata L. under hydroponic conditions
TL;DR: The interactive effects of As and Se on their uptake by Chinese brake fern were explored in two hydroponic experiments based on a two-factor, five-level central composite design and indicated the antagonistic effects of Se on As.

Prediction of Heat-Affected Zone Characteristics in Submerged Arc Welding of Structural Steel Pipes
V. Gunaraj,N. Murugan +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of process variables and heat input on various metallurgical aspects, namely, the widths of the HAZ, weld interface, and grain growth and grain refinement regions, were investigated.
