Steam-iron process: Influence of steam on the kinetics of iron oxide reduction

TLDR
In this paper, the effect of water vapour on the kinetics of the steam-iron process was investigated and two models, the competitive model and the inhibitive model, were proposed to predict the behavior of the solid subjected to successive reductive and oxidative cycles.

Magnetic bio-activated carbon production from lignin via a streamlined process and its use in phosphate removal from aqueous solutions.

TL;DR: The results indicate that iron species are embedded into the carbon matrix by lignin melting, suggesting that the representative MBAC product has a comparable phosphate adsorption capacity to most of the reported MBCs and MBACs.

Microstructural and surface area development during hydrogen reduction of magnetite

TL;DR: In this article, the microstructural development of the catalyst changed with reduction temperature and promoter addition, and the main effect of alkali addition is manifested in the decrease in the heat of adsorption of carbon monoxide and in the inhibition of the reaction C(ads) → C(deposited), keeping the carbon atoms in the adsorbed state for longer periods of time and reducing coke deposition.
