TLDR
Rat hepatic pyruvate kinase (type L) has been purified to homogeneity by a simple, rapid procedure involving DEAE-cellulose chromatography and elution from a blue Sepharose column and the hypothesis that glucagon regulates pyruVate Kinase activity, at least in part, by a phosphorylation mechanism is supported.

Molecular physiology of the regulation of hepatic gluconeogenesis and glycolysis.

TL;DR: It is clear that PEPCK mRNA is stabilized by agents that increase the rate of transcription of the gene, and under appropriate metabolic signals this dual control of mRNA synthesis and stability provides for a long-term increase in PEPCk mRNA and protein.

Gluconeogenesis in teleost fishes

TL;DR: The literature on the substrates, enzymes, pathway, regulation, and physiological function of gluconeogenesis in teleost fishes is reviewed and it is suggested that the third task can be achieved only through the integration of an isolated enzyme to whole organism.

Hepatic Gluconeogenesis/Glycolysis: Regulation and Structure/Function Relationships of Substrate Cycle Enzymes

TL;DR: The results obtained allowed us to assess the importance of knowing the carrier and removal status of canine coronavirus, as a source of infection for other animals, not necessarily belonging to the same breeds.

Protein Measurement with the Folin Phenol Reagent

TL;DR: Procedures are described for measuring protein in solution or after precipitation with acids or other agents, and for the determination of as little as 0.2 gamma of protein.

A Protein Binding Assay for Adenosine 3′:5′-Cyclic Monophosphate

TL;DR: A simple and sensitive assay for adenosine 3':5'-cyclic monophosphate (cAMP) has been developed that is based on competition for protein binding of the nucleotide, presumably to a cAMP-dependent protein kinase.

Rapid purification of lactate dehydrogenase from rat liver and hepatoma: a new approach.

TL;DR: A new affinity column has been developed for the isolation of lactate dehydrogenase from rat liver and from two Morris hepatomas, and LDH of maximum specific catalytic activity and single-component behavior during polyacrylamide electrophoresis can be obtained in high yield within a period of several hours, depending on the scale of the preparation.
