The chemisorption of O2 and NO on reduced and sulfided molybdena-alumina catalysts
Jozsef Valyon,W.Keith Hall +1 more
TLDR
In this paper, the chemisorption of O2 and NO was investigated at −78 °C and at room temperature using pulse-flow and volumetric techniques. But the results were not consistent with the anion vacancy concentration, and the results could be rationalized by assuming that these chemisors took place on Mo2+ centers (two anion vacancies on the same Mo).About:

A geometrical model of the active phase of hydrotreating catalysts
TL;DR: A geometrical model of sulphided unpromoted and promoted molybdenum or tungstensupported on alumina catalysts has been developed on the basis of two hypotheses which can be deduced from literature data: these are the presence of small patches of supported MoS2(WS2) and the importance of the edge sites located on these patches.
