Recent advances in the stereochemistry of metallotetrapyrroles

TL;DR: A review of metalloporphyrin-porphyrin (π-π) interactions in the solid state can be found in this article, where a variety of important conformational aspects of metmorphyrin and their properties on physical properties are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

A pyridinic Fe-N 4 macrocycle models the active sites in Fe/N-doped carbon electrocatalysts.

TL;DR: The aggregate spectroscopic and electrochemical data demonstrate that (phen2N2)Fe is a more effective model of Fe-N-C active sites relative to the pyrrolic iron macrocycles, thereby establishing a new molecular platform that can aid understanding of this important class of catalytic materials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spectral and structural studies of iron(III), cobalt(II,III) and nickel(II) complexes of 2-pyridineformamide N(4)-methylthiosemicarbazone

TL;DR: In this paper, the reduction of 2-cyanopyridine by sodium in dry methanol in the presence of N(4)-methylthiosemicarbazide produces 2-pyridineformamide, HAm4M. Coordination is via the pyridyl nitrogen, imine nitrogen and thione or thiolato sulfur when coordinating as the neutral and anionic ligand, respectively.
