Abstract
THE theory of switching circuits may be divided into two major divisions, analysis and synthesis. The problem of analysis, determining the manner of operation of a given switching circuit, is comparatively simple. The inverse problem of finding a circuit satisfying certain given operating conditions, and in particular the best circuit is, in general, more difficult and more important from the practical standpoint. A basic part of the general synthesis problem is the design of a two-terminal network with given operating characteristics, and we shall consider some aspects of this problem.

Directed Graph Minors and Serial-Parallel Width

TL;DR: This work proposes new variants of directed graph minors and directed graph embeddings, by modifying familiar definitions, for the class of 2-terminal directed acyclic graphs (TDAGs), where the two definitions coincide, and the class is closed under both operations.

Improvements in High-Coverage and Low-Power LBIST

Nan Li
TL;DR: Logic Built-In Self Test (LBIST) offers test cost reduction in terms of using smaller and cheaper ATE tests, which could help reduce the manufacturing cost of integrated circuits.

On canalizing Boolean functions

TL;DR: This work derives spectral properties of canalizing and nested canalizing functions, which can also be used to test membership of functions to these classes, and provides relationships between the noise sensitivity and the mutual information of functions with noisy inputs.

A minimal system for the study of relationships between brain processes and psychological events

TL;DR: It is shown how the brain function correlated to cognitive processes may be understood if it is similar to the artificial system which was utilized in the acquisition and information processing system.

Solving machine learning optimization problems using quantum computers

TL;DR: In this paper, a generic mathematical model is proposed to leverage quantum parallelism to speed up machine learning algorithms and a 3-dimensional image that varies with time as well as tracking speed in object identification.

A logical calculus of the ideas immanent in nervous activity

TL;DR: In this article, it is shown that many particular choices among possible neurophysiological assumptions are equivalent, in the sense that for every net behaving under one assumption, there exists another net which behaves under another and gives the same results, although perhaps not in the same time.

A symbolic analysis of relay and switching circuits

TL;DR: It will be shown that several of the well-known theorems on impedance networks have roughly analogous theorem in relay circuits, including the delta-wye and star-mesh transformations, and the duality theorem.

The axiomatic method in biology

J. H. Woodger
TL;DR: Interestingly, the axiomatic method in biology that you really wait for now is coming, and it's significant to wait for the representative and beneficial books to read.
