TLDR
In this article, a chromium reduction method was used for the determination of reduced inorganic sulfur compounds (pyrite + elemental sulfur + acid volatile monosulfides) in modern sediments and shales.About:

In situ multiple sulfur isotope analysis by SIMS of pyrite, chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite, and pentlandite to refine magmatic ore genetic models
Crystal LaFlamme,Laure Martin,Heejin Jeon,Steven M. Reddy,Vikraman Selvaraja,Stefano Caruso,Thi Hao Bui,Malcolm P. Roberts,Francois Voute,Steffen Hagemann,David Wacey,Sten Littman,Boswell A. Wing,Marco L. Fiorentini,Matt R. Kilburn +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, a suite of sulfur isotope standards for distribution relevant to magmatic, magmatic-hydrothermal, and hydrothermal ore systems were developed. But the authors did not consider the application of in situ multiple sulfope analysis to a variety of mineral systems.

Impact of mussel (Mytilus galloprovincialis) raft-culture on benthic macrofauna, in situ oxygen uptake, and nutrient fluxes in Saldanha Bay, South Africa
TL;DR: It was concluded that POM and TRS in sediment as well as macrofauna biomass, and potentially molar N:P ratios, were more sensitive indicators of benthic impact from mussel culture than O2 uptake rates or nutrient fluxes.

The composition of massive sulfide deposits from the sediment-covered floor of Escanaba Trough, Gorda Ridge; implications for depositional processes
TL;DR: In this paper, massive sulfide mounds and chimneys were found in Escanaba Trouch (ET), southern Gorda Ridge, with high amounts of Zn, Pb, Cd, Ba, and Ag and thin barite crusts.

A model for early diagenetic processes in sediments of the continental shelf of the Black sea
TL;DR: In this article, a numerical model for early diagenetic processes in the sediments of the north-western continental shelf of the Black Sea is presented, which includes six solid phase variables (labile and less labile organic carbon, iron-and manganese oxides, iron monosulphide and pyrite) and eight solutes (oxygen, nitrate, ammonium, MANGANESE, ferrous iron sulphate, hydrogen sulphide and methane).

Pyrite Framboids as Biomarkers for Iron-Sulfur Systems
TL;DR: In this paper, the role of microorganisms in the formation of pyrite framboids has been suggested, but remains unresolved, and three types of subsurface microbial communities were studied: submerged mats overlaying clay-rich sediments, floating mats developed at the water-gas (sulfide/carbon dioxide) interface, and detrital FeS-rich sediment associated with floating microbial mats.

Sedimentary pyrite formation: An update
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that organic matter appears to be the major control on pyrite formation in normal (non-euxinic) terrigenous marine sediments where dissolved sulfate and iron minerals are abundant.

The Sulfur Cycle
TL;DR: The authors' model of the sulfur cycle can draw some conclusions that man is now contributing about one half as much as nature to the total atmospheric burden of sulfur compounds, but by A.D. 2000 he will be contributing about as much, and in the Northern Hemisphere alone he is more than matching nature.

Pyrite: Its Rapid Formation in a Salt Marsh and Its Importance In Ecosystem Metabolism
TL;DR: Pyrite formation in salt-marsh peat occurs more rapidly than is generally thought for any natural system, and the rates of sulfate reduction and ecosystem respiration may be grossly underestimated.

Rock and mineral analysis
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors provide an up-to-date treatment of the problems associated with the analysis of geological materials, including the requesite steps from selection of the sample and choice of elements to the facilities needed, preparation of sample, methods for the determination of individual constituens and reporting of the results of the analysis.
