Thermally induced vibrations of beam structures

TLDR
In this article, a general numerical method is developed for determining the dynamic response of beam structures to rapidly applied thermal loads, which consists of formulating and solving the dynamic problem in the Laplace transform domain with the aid of dynamic stiffness influence coefficients defined for a beam element in that domain and of obtaining the response by a numerical inversion of the transformed solution.

Thermoelastic damping in micro-beam resonators

TL;DR: In this paper, the generalized thermoelastic theory with one relaxation time was used to analyze the micro-beam damping of a single-beam resonator, and the results showed that the amplitude of deflection and thermal moment are attenuated and the vibration frequency is increased with thermo-elastic coupling effect.

The time dimension: A theory towards the evolution, classification, characterization and design of computational algorithms for transient/ dynamic applications

TL;DR: The present exposition overviews new and recent advances describing a standardized formal theory towards the evolution, classification, characterization and generic design of time discretized operators for transient/dynamic applications and explains a wide variety of generalized integration operators in time.

A theory of development and design of generalized integration operators for computational structural dynamics

TL;DR: A standardized formal theory of development, characterization and design of a wide variety of computational algorithms emanating from a generalized time weighted residual philosophy for dynamic analysis is first presented with subsequent emphasis on detailed formulations of a particular class relevant to the so‐called time integration approaches which belong to a much broader classification relevant to time discretized operators.

Numerical Inversion of Laplace Transforms: An Efficient Improvement to Dubner and Abate's Method

F. Durbin
- 01 Nov 1974 -
TL;DR: An accurate method is presented for the numerical inversion of Laplace transform, which is a natural continuation to Dubner and Abate's method, and the error bound on the inverse f{t) becomes independent of t, instead of being exponential in t.
