Intraparticle Molecular Orbital Engineering of Semiconducting Polymer Nanoparticles as Amplified Theranostics for In Vivo Photoacoustic Imaging and Photothermal Therapy
TL;DR: An intraparticle molecular orbital engineering approach to simultaneously enhance photoacoustic brightness and photothermal therapy efficacy of semiconducting polymer nanoparticles (SPNs) for in vivo imaging and treatment of cancer is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Photophysical and photosensitizing properties of benzoporphyrin derivative monoacid ring A (BPD-MA)
TL;DR: The photophysical properties of benzoporphyrin derivative monoacid ring A (BPD‐MA), a second‐generation photosensitizer currently in phase II clinical trials, were investigated in homogeneous solution and a dramatic effect of oxygen on the fluorescence (φf) and intersystem crossing ( φT) quantum yields has been observed.

Molecular Engineering of Conjugated Polymers for Biocompatible Organic Nanoparticles with Highly Efficient Photoacoustic and Photothermal Performance in Cancer Theranostics
Bing Guo,Zonghai Sheng,Dehong Hu,Anran Li,Shidang Xu,Purnima Naresh Manghnani,Chengbo Liu,Lin Guo,Hairong Zheng,Bin Liu +9 more
TL;DR: This study shows that CP NP based theranostic platforms are promising for future personalized nanomedicine.
Journal ArticleDOI
Alternating electron and proton transfer steps in photosynthetic water oxidation
TL;DR: By discovery of the transient formation of two further intermediate states in the reaction cycle of photosynthetic water oxidation, a temporal sequence of strictly alternating removal of electrons and protons from the catalytic site is established.
Journal ArticleDOI
Photophysical and Aggregation Studies of t‐Butyl‐Substituted Zn Phthalocyanines
TL;DR: In this paper, three potential photosensitizers for photodynamic therapy: tetra-t-butyl phthalocyaninato Zn(II), tetrakis-(1,1-dimethyl-2-phthalimido)ethylphthalocalinato (Zn)-Zn(III), and tetra -tbutyl polybutyl (PTP)-Phthalocynato (PhCynoZn), have been studied in homogeneous organic media and the photo-physical characterization of the triplet state was performed.
