TLDR
The transient response of the phase retardation for electrical and optical signals traveling in the same and opposite directions along an electrooptic modulator crystal is calculated.
Abstract
The transient response of the phase retardation for electrical and optical signals traveling in the same and opposite directions along an electrooptic modulator crystal is calculated. Using these results, the transient response of the phase retardation for single and double pass traveling wave optical modulators is calculated.
