Re-evaluation of the LHC potential for the measurement of mW

TL;DR: In this article, the LHC sensitivity to the W boson mass was studied based on simulation studies and it was shown that both experimental and phenomenological sources of systematic uncertainties can be strongly constrained with Z measurements: the lineshape, dσZ/dm, is robustly predicted, and its analysis provides an accurate measurement of the detector resolution and absolute scale, while the differential cross-section analysis, d2σZ /dydpT, absorbs the strong interaction uncertainties.

Matching factorization theorems with an inverse-error weighting

TL;DR: In this paper, a fast method to match factorization theorems applicable in different kinematical regions, such as the transverse-momentum-dependent and the collinear factorization in Quantum Chromodynamics, is proposed.

Sivers and Boer-Mulders functions in Light-Cone Quark Models

TL;DR: In this article, the authors derived general expressions in terms of overlap of wave-function amplitudes describing the different orbital angular angular momentum components of the nucleon and showed that the model predictions show a dominant contribution from S and P-wave interference in the Sivers function and a significant contribution also from interference of P and D waves in the Boer-Mulders function.

Non-perturbative contributions to vector-boson transverse momentum spectra in hadronic collisions

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated correlations between different sources of TMD non-perturbative effects, and correlations with collinear parton distributions, and stress the relevance of accurate DY measurements at low masses and with fine binning in transverse momentum for improved determinations of long-distance contributions to Sudakov evolution processes and TMDs.

TL;DR: In this paper, the transverse momentum distribution of the boson+jet system in boson production events is calculated using renormalization group techniques and soft-collinear effective theory.
