Abstract
1 Udgangspunktet for denne undersøgelse er information om en mulig risiko ved henholdsvis mobiltelefonanvendelse og mobilmaster i beboelsesområder. God information bør objektivt formidle den tilgængelige viden troværdigt og forståeligt, og forskningsspørgsmålet er derfor, hvordan man bedst informerer lægfolk, således at de har tillid til og forstår oplysningerne. Vi brugte en internet-baseret undersøgelse, hvor 1.687 danskere blev randomiseret til tre typer af information om stråling fra mobiltelefoner og master. Formålet var at undersøge, om forskellige typer af information blev vurderet som lige brugbare, informative, forståelige og troværdige. Desuden var et vigtigt spørgsmål, i hvilket omfang informationen ville påvirke risikoopfattelse og adfærd. Konklusionen er, at lægfolk vurderer information om risici forbundet med en ny og stort set ukendt teknologi mere brugbar og troværdig, når informationen består af korte handlingsrettede udsagn frem for længere og mere tekniske oplysninger om, hvorfor teknologien kan eller ikke kan medføre sundhedsfare.
