Validity of the t-J model : quantum numbers for (Cu4O8)-7

TLDR
In this paper, the authors proposed a canonical transformation to eliminate the states containing Cu + and Cu +3 by means of a standard canonical transformation, and diagonalized the resulting effective Hamiltonian for a Cu 4 O 8 cluster with periodic boundary conditions, for zero and one added holes.

Nonequilibrium dynamics of a singlet-triplet Anderson impurity near the quantum phase transition.

TL;DR: The limits of integer valence of the STAM are derived and used to predict the behavior of the conductance through the system on both sides of the transition, where it jumps abruptly, and the spectral densities and conductance are calculated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effective one-band hamiltonian for cuprate superconductor metal-insulator transition

TL;DR: In this paper, an effective one-band model Heff has been proposed, which is based on the three-band Hubbard hamiltonian H and projecting out of the Hilbert space a group of high-energy states, but the hopping terms depend on occupation numbers.
Journal ArticleDOI

Generalized One-Band Model Based on Zhang-Rice Singlets for Tetragonal CuO.

TL;DR: This work rigorously derive an effective one-band generalized t-J model for T-CuO, based on orthogonalized Zhang-Rice singlets, and makes an estimative calculation of its parameters, based upon previous ab initio calculations.

Robust charge-density-wave correlations in the electron-doped single-band Hubbard model

TL;DR: In this article , the authors study the finite temperature spin and charge correlations in the electron-doped single-band Hubbard model using quantum Monte Carlo dynamical cluster approximation calculations and contrast their behavior with those found on the holedoped side of the phase diagram and find evidence for a charge modulation with both checkerboard and unidirectional components decoupled from any spin-density modulations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Numerical comparison of the band structure and magnetic fluctuations of three-band and generalized t-J models

TL;DR: In this article, the quasiparticle band for a single hole doped into a CuO 2 plane described by the t -J (H tJ ) or generalized t-J model ( H tt ′ t ″ J ) in a periodic 4 × 4 cluster, and compare the results with those obtained by other authors for the spin-fermion model H sf, which in turn represents well the three-band Hubbard model.

Effective Hamiltonian for the superconducting Cu oxides

Fu-Chun Zhang, +1 more
- 01 Mar 1988 -
TL;DR: Although assuming that doping creates holes primarily on oxygen sites, this work derives explicitly a single-band effective Hamiltonian for the high-${T}_{c}$ Cu-oxide superconductors.

Quantum Theory of Solids

TL;DR: In this paper, the Hartree-Forck approximation is used to calculate energy bands and Fermi Surfaces for semiconductor crystals. But the results of the energy bands do not cover the entire crystal lattice.

Theory of high-Tc superconductivity in oxides.

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the properties of high-mathrm{T}$ oxide superconductors are consistent with a model in which the charge carriers are holes in the O(2p) states and the pairing is mediated by strong coupling to local spin configurations on the Cu sites.

Two-dimensional antiferromagnetic quantum spin-fluid state in La2CuO

TL;DR: Elastic, quasielastic, and inelastic neutron scattering measurements in La 2 CuO 4 reveal novel two-dimensional antiferromagnetic behavior that is relevant to the high-temperature superconductivity in this class of materials.

Evidence for holes on oxygen sites in the high- T c superconductors La 2 − x Sr x CuO 4 and YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7 − y

TL;DR: In this paper, the local oxygen density of states of p symmetry at the Fermi level was investigated as a function of x and y. The results indicated that for the superconductors and semiconducting compounds, the oxygen 2p band is probably completely filled.
