TLDR
In this article, the linear and non-linear dynamic behavior of plates at elevated temperatures is examined and analytical solutions for the buckling and post-buckling behavior are obtained, which may be interpreted as an extension of Williams analysis of long narrow plates, for plates of finite aspect ratio.

Thermal Buckling and Nonlinear Flutter Behavior of Functionally Graded Material Panels

TL;DR: In this article, a nonlinear finite element model based on the first-order shear deformable plate theory and von Karman strain-displacement relations is adopted for the nonlinear flutter and thermal buckling of an functionally gradient material panel under the combined effect of elevated temperature conditions and aerodynamic loading.

Buckling and free vibration behavior of an isotropic plate under nonuniform thermal load

TL;DR: In this article, numerical simulation studies on buckling and free vibration characteristics of isotropic plates under arbitrarily varying temperature distributions using finite element method (FEM) are presented, where the critical buckling temperature is obtained, followed by modal analysis considering pre-stress due to the thermal field in the plate, with the criticalbuckling temperature as a parameter.

Large thermoelastic deflections and stability of simply supported polygonal panels

TL;DR: A Berger-type approximation for large deflections of thermally loaded initially curved elastic plates is derived in this article, where dimensionless solution in terms of Dirichlet's Helmholtz-eigenvalues of the given domain is discussed, showing bifurcation and snapping behaviour in the sense of a cusp catastrophe.

A new approach to the analysis of large deflections of plates

TL;DR: In this article, simplified equations for the deflection of uniformly loaded circular and rectangular plates with various boundary conditions are derived and compared with available numerical solutions of the exact equations, and the deflections found by this approach are then used to obtain the stresses, and resulting stresses are compared with existing solutions.
