N-terminal deletion of Swi3 created by the deletion of a dubious ORF YJL175W mitigates protein burden effect in S. cerevisiae.

TL;DR: It is found that deletion of the YJL175W ORF yielded an N-terminal deletion of Swi3, a subunit of the SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex, and partial loss of function of SwI3, and an overall reduction in translation.

User perception towards a motorized thresher (Kungula) in Uganda: A need finding survey

TL;DR: Findings show a significant diversity on the crops grown and the amount of land tilled by the smallholder farmers largely due to food insecurity and land tenure system, and lack of a proper distribution model is one of the hindrances to access of farm inputs which should be addressed.

Using simulation to incorporate dynamic criteria into multiple criteria decision-making

TL;DR: The results suggest that dynamic multiple criteria analysis may be highly suitable for decisions that require long-term evaluation, as this is often when uncertainty is introduced.

Valuation of impacts in cost benefit analysis

TL;DR: In this article, a review of literatures on methods for the valuation of impacts for CBA using major healthcare databases such as PubMed, CINAHL and Google Scholar is presented.

Plant Ecological Strategies: Some Leading Dimensions of Variation Between Species

TL;DR: The leaf mass per area–leaf lifespan (LMA-LL) dimension expresses slow turnover of plant parts, long nutrient residence times, and slow response to favorable growth conditions.

Can Electronic Medical Record Systems Transform Health Care? Potential Health Benefits, Savings, And Costs

TL;DR: In this paper, the potential health and financial benefits of health information technology (HIT) are examined and the potential savings and costs of widespread adoption of electronic medical record (EMR) systems, models important health and safety benefits, and concludes that effective EMR implementation and networking could eventually save more than $81 billion annually.

Assessment of adaptation practices, options, constraints and capacity

TL;DR: Enright et al. as discussed by the authors presented the Enright-Fankhauser-Gabel-Nantel-Klein model, which is based on the work of the authors of this paper.

Sustainable Tourism: An Overview of the Concept and its Position in Relation to Conceptualisations of Tourism
