Enhancement of transport safety through Cross Modal Switching
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the extent to which cross modal switching (CMS), encouraging users to transfer to safer modes of transport, can be deployed as an instrument of transport safety policy and found that there is a marginal justification for CMS as a tool within an overall integrated transport policy that considers safety in all modes simultaneously.

Socio-economic costs of road crashes in middle-income countries: Applying a hybrid approach to Kazakhstan
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a methodology for assessing the socioeconomic costs of road crashes as well as an estimate of the volume of these costs in Kazakhstan, where five costs components have been taken into account: medical costs, production loss, human costs, vehicle damage and administrative costs.

Inequality when Effort Matters
TL;DR: The authors found that adjusting for effort imposing common preferences attenuates inequality, although the effect is small, and the direction of bias is unclear given the heterogeneity in efforts and preferences, while allowing for preference heterogeneity consistently with behavior suggests higher inequality.
