In addition to the effect of high speed sliding, there are reversible changes in the friction of Teflon on Teflon dependent in part on temperature.
With artificial cooling, the Teflon collector is about 20% more efficient than the aluminium collector.
They have a heating performance that is ∼70% higher than that of Pt film heaters, which are widely used.
The ceramic heat pipe recuperator concept offers several advantages as compared to tubular type ceramic recuperators.
Journal ArticleDOI
Otto J. Gregory, Tao You

Based on these results, a versatile ceramic sensor system has been envisioned where a ceramic thermocouple and strain sensor can be combined to yield a multifunctional ceramic sensor array.
The results indicate that the surface properties of the Teflon can be easily controlled by the PDA modification, thus greatly expanding the application scope of whole-Teflon chips for various chemical and biological research fields.
Journal ArticleDOI
D. G. Flom, N. T. Porile
