TL;DR: In this article, a collapsible tripod supports an elongated inclined tray containing a linear array of balls and a gate at the low end of the tray cyclically releases balls one at a time from the array to gravity.
Abstract: In an athletic ball server, a collapsible tripod supports an elongated inclined tray containing a linear array of balls. A gate at the low end of the tray cyclically releases balls one at a time from the array to gravity. One edge of a trampoline is pivoted on the tripod. The central portion of the trampoline is aligned to bounce a ball released from the tray. An eye-bolt is connected between the tripod and the trampoline allowing the angular position of the trampoline to be varied. By adjusting the eye-bolt, it is possible to achieve any desired trajectory of the bounced ball from a pop-up or slow pitch trajectory to a ground ball trajectory.

TL;DR: In this article, a universal camera mounting system incorporating a security device for use in theft prevention is presented, which comprises an electronic anti-theft assembly in combination with a universally mountable mounting member.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to camera mounting systems and, in particular, a universal camera mount apparatus incorporating a security device for use in theft prevention. The apparatus comprises an electronic anti-theft assembly in combination with a universally mountable mounting member. The universally mountable mounting member may then be secured to a camera by a fastener threaded into the camera's pre-existing tripod mount hole, for monitoring by the security device. Abstract: This paper presents a comprehensive methodology to determine the servomotor parameters of a parallel kinematic machine according to the design specifications in terms of the cutting load, fast feed rate and accelerating capabilities Due to the characteristics of the parallel format, the singular value decomposition technique is employed to determine the lower and upper bounds of the servomotor parameters such as the rated speed and torque An approach is also developed to determine the maximum equivalent moment of inertia of the platform and struts reduced onto a servo axis , which therefore allows the accelerating capability of the servo system to be examined in terms of the maximum torque required The effectiveness of this methodology is exemplified by the application to a tripod-based parallel kinematic machine for high-speed milling

TL;DR: In this article, a ring-like member of a helicoid with a fixed barrel was used to adjust the center of gravity of the camera body and the lens barrel of a camera.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the tripod pedestal of a lens barrel, by which weight balance between the lens barrel and a camera body is adjusted finely. SOLUTION: The tripod pedestal 20 is provided with a positioning mechanism 13 of a ring-like member 12, coupled in manner of a helicoid with the fixed barrel 11 of the lens barrel 10 in the rotating direction of the member 12 and a pedestal 14 attached at the ring-like member. The tripod pedestal is rotated in the periphery of the fixed barrel in a state with the screw of the positioning mechanism being loosened, so that the ring-like member is moved in the optical axis direction. A screw hole 14b is moved, so that it comes nearly to the position of the center of gravity of camera body and the lens barrel, and the attaching screw of a tripod is screwed into the screw hole, so that the tripod pedestal is fixed at the tripod. The vertical position and the lateral position of the camera body are selected, and the positioning mechanism is screwed in, so that the lens barrel is fixed. Since the weight of the camera body is increased, when accessories (a motor-driven device and a stroboscope) are attached to the camera body, it is fixed at the tripod so as to make the position of the screw hole come near the side of the camera body, by causing the tripod pedestal to rotate in the periphery of the fixed barrel.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose a method to prevent drips from entering a space under a top plate of a cooking device such as a gas cooking appliance by providing a positioning protrusion on an upper surface of the plate and a positioning recess for locking the protrusion.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily position a tripod not to allow drips or the like to enter a space under a top plate of a cooking device such as a gas cooking appliance or the like by providing a positioning protrusion on an upper surface of the plate, and providing a positioning recess for locking the protrusion on a rear surface of the grate. SOLUTION: The cooking device mounts a top plate 1 on an upper surface of a gas cooking appliance body. A burner port is perforated at the plate 1. A tripod placing surface 3 is provided on a periphery of the port. In this case, a positioning protrusion 4 is provided, in place, in a circumferential direction of the surface 3, and a positioning recess for locking the protrusion 4 is recessed on a rear surface of a tripod frame 9 of the tripod 2.
