TL;DR: In this paper, the relation between stellar mass and gas-phase metallicity in the VIMOS VLT Deep Survey (VVDS) was studied up to 1.24 for a sample of 42 star-forming galaxies with a mean redshift value of 0.99.

The Clustering of Quasars
A. Iovino,Peter Shaver,P. S. Osmer,P. Hewitt,D. Crampton,A. P. Cowley,F. D. A. Hartwick,Cesare Barbieri,Stefano Cristiani +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors combined four deep surveys totalling 579 quasars to obtain the highest possible sensitivity to quasar clustering using homogeneous samples, and revealed a 5.5σ excess of pairs with separations ≤ 10h − 1 Mpc at z ≤ 1.5.
Book ChapterDOI
Identifying Optical Einstein Rings
TL;DR: The discovery of gravitationally lensed radio-rings (Hewitt et al. 1988) opened up a new line of attack on the problem of dark matter in galaxies as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
NIR Follow-Up of the VVDS 02hr Field: First Results
TL;DR: In this article, a new K-band survey covering 623 arcmin2 in the VVDS 0226-0430 deep field down to a limiting magnitude KVega ≤ 20.5 was presented.
