The SURFEXv7.2 land and ocean surface platform for coupled or offline simulation of earth surface variables and fluxes
Valéry Masson,P. Le Moigne,Eric Martin,Stéphanie Faroux,Antoinette Alias,Ramdane Alkama,Sophie Belamari,Alina Barbu,Aaron Boone,F. Bouyssel,Pierre Brousseau,Eric Brun,Jean-Christophe Calvet,Dominique Carrer,Bertrand Decharme,Christine Delire,S. Donier,K. Essaouini,A.-L. Gibelin,Hervé Giordani,Florence Habets,M. Jidane,G. Pigeon,Rui Salgado,Yann Seity,F. Taillefer,G. Tanguy,Pierre Tulet,Béatrice Vincendon,Vincent Vionnet,Aurore Voldoire +41 more
TL;DR: SURFEX as mentioned in this paper is an externalized land and ocean surface platform that describes the surface fluxes and the evolution of four types of surfaces: nature, town, inland water and ocean.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ability of the land surface model ISBA‐A‐gs to simulate leaf area index at the global scale: Comparison with satellites products
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compare the results of the ISBA-A-gs model with three satellite-derived data sets (ISLSCP Initiative II data, MODIS data and ECOCLIMAP data) and find that the model reproduces the major patterns of spatial and temporal variability in global vegetation.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Global Land Carbon Cycle Simulated With ISBA-CTRIP: Improvements Over the Last Decade
Christine Delire,Roland Séférian,Bertrand Decharme,Ramdane Alkama,Jean-Christophe Calvet,Dominique Carrer,A.-L. Gibelin,Emilie Joetzjer,Xavier Morel,Matthias Rocher,Diane Tzanos +10 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Past and future scenarios of the effect of carbon dioxide on plant growth and transpiration for three vegetation types of southwestern France
Jean-Christophe Calvet,A.-L. Gibelin,Jean-Louis Roujean,Eric Martin,P. Le Moigne,Hervé Douville,J. Noilhan +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the sensitivity of an operational CO 2 -responsive land surface model (the ISBA-A-gs model of Meteo-France) to the atmospheric CO 2 concentration, (CO 2 ), is investigated for three vegetation types (winter wheat, irrigated maize, coniferous forest).
Journal ArticleDOI
Modelling energy and CO2 fluxes with an interactive vegetation land surface model - Evaluation at high and middle latitudes
TL;DR: In this paper, a new version of the ISBA land surface model is developed to represent the fluxes and reservoirs of the terrestrial carbon cycle, and validated with in-situ measurements at 26 sites of the FLUXNET network, located at temperate and high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere.
