Journal ArticleDOI
NOD2-mediated dysbiosis predisposes mice to transmissible colitis and colorectal cancer
Aurélie Couturier-Maillard,Thomas Secher,Ateequr Rehman,Sylvain Normand,Adèle De Arcangelis,Robert Haesler,Ludovic Huot,Teddy Grandjean,Aude Bressenot,Anne Delanoye-Crespin,Olivier Gaillot,Stefan Schreiber,Yves Lemoine,Bernhard Ryffel,David Hot,Gabriel Núñez,Grace Y. Chen,Philip Rosenstiel,Mathias Chamaillard +18 more
TL;DR: It is shown that dysbiosis caused by Nod2 deficiency gives rise to a reversible, communicable risk of colitis and colitis-associated carcinogenesis in mice, and manipulation of dysbiotic microbiota is a potential therapeutic approach in the treatment of human intestinal disorders.
Journal ArticleDOI
Key role of the Cdx2 homeobox gene in extracellular matrix-mediated intestinal cell differentiation.
Olivier Lorentz,Isabelle Duluc,Adèle De Arcangelis,Patricia Simon-Assmann,Michèle Kedinger,Jean-Noël Freund +5 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that C dx2 plays a key role in the extracellular matrix–mediated intestinal cell differentiation and provokes pleiotropic effects triggering cells towards the phenotype of differentiated villus enterocytes, and that Cdx2 expression is modulated by basement membrane components.
Journal ArticleDOI
Integrin and ECM functions: roles in vertebrate development
TL;DR: The analysis of mutant mice is bringing novel insights on the role of extracellular matrix (ECM) and integrin receptors during a variety of physiological processes, including embryonic development.
Journal ArticleDOI
Basement membrane attachment is dispensable for radial glial cell fate and for proliferation, but affects positioning of neuronal subtypes
TL;DR: Although BM attachment seems dispensable for precursor cells, an intact BM is required for adequate neuronal composition of the cerebral cortex and this is required if the nidogen-binding site of the laminin γ1 chain is mutated.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Conserved Interaction between β1 Integrin/PAT-3 and Nck-Interacting Kinase/MIG-15 that Mediates Commissural Axon Navigation in C. elegans
Patrice Poinat,Adèle De Arcangelis,Satis Sookhareea,Xiaoping Zhu,Edward M. Hedgecock,Michel Labouesse,Elisabeth Georges-Labouesse +6 more
TL;DR: This work provides the first evidence that the kinase NIK and integrins interact in vitro and in vivo and shows a genetic interaction between mig-15, ina-1, and genes that encode Rac GTPases.
