Targeting c-MYC in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer
Jeyshka M. Reyes-González,Guillermo N. Armaiz-Pena,Lingegowda S. Mangala,Fatma Valiyeva,Cristina Ivan,Sunila Pradeep,Ileabett M. Echevarría-Vargas,Adrian Rivera-Reyes,Anil K. Sood,Pablo E. Vivas-Mejia,Pablo E. Vivas-Mejia +10 more
TL;DR: Findings identify c-MYC as a potential therapeutic target for ovarian cancers expressing high levels of this oncoprotein.
Journal ArticleDOI
YAP1-Mediated Suppression of USP31 Enhances NFκB Activity to Promote Sarcomagenesis
Shuai Ye,Matthew A. Lawlor,Adrian Rivera-Reyes,Shaun Egolf,Susan Chor,Koreana Pak,Gabrielle E. Ciotti,Avery C. Lee,Gloria Marino,Jennifer Shah,David Niedzwicki,Kristy L. Weber,Paul M.C. Park,Md. Zahidul Alam,Alison Grazioli,Malay Haldar,Mousheng Xu,Jennifer A. Perry,Jun Qi,T.S. Karin Eisinger-Mathason +19 more
TL;DR: It is found that YAP1 was constitutively active in some sarcomas due to epigenetic silencing of its inhibitor angiomotin (AMOT), and combined treatment with epigenetic modulators effectively restored USP31 expression, resulting in decreased NFκB activity.
Journal ArticleDOI
YAP1 enhances NF-κB-dependent and independent effects on clock-mediated unfolded protein responses and autophagy in sarcoma.
Adrian Rivera-Reyes,Shuai Ye,Gloria Marino,Shaun Egolf,Gabrielle E. Ciotti,Susan Chor,Ying Liu,Jessica M. Posimo,Paul M.C. Park,Koreana Pak,Yael Babichev,Yael Babichev,Jaimarie Sostre-Colón,Feven Tameire,Nektaria Maria Leli,Constantinos Koumenis,Donita C. Brady,Anthony A. Mancuso,Kristy L. Weber,Rebecca A. Gladdy,Rebecca A. Gladdy,Jun Qi,T.S. Karin Eisinger-Mathason +22 more
TL;DR: It is reported that YAP1 and NF-κB activity suppress circadian clock function, inhibiting differentiation and promoting proliferation, and identifies specific autophagy, UPR, and muscle differentiation-associated genes as potential biomarkers of treatment efficacy and differentiation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Immature Lymphocytes Inhibit Rag1 and Rag2 Transcription and V(D)J Recombination in Response to DNA Double-Strand Breaks.
Megan R. Fisher,Megan R. Fisher,Adrian Rivera-Reyes,Adrian Rivera-Reyes,Noah B. Bloch,David G. Schatz,Craig H. Bassing +6 more
TL;DR: It is shown that DSBs induced by ionizing radiation, etoposide, or bleomycin suppress Rag1 and Rag2 mRNA levels in primary pre-B cells, pro- B cells, and pro-T cells, indicating that inhibition of Rag1and Rag2 expression is a prevalent DSB response among immature lymphocytes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genomic Alterations of Non-Coding Regions Underlie Human Cancer: Lessons from T-ALL.
Adrian Rivera-Reyes,Adrian Rivera-Reyes,Katharina E. Hayer,Craig H. Bassing,Craig H. Bassing +4 more
TL;DR: These studies raise important issues to consider for how non-coding genomic region alterations can disrupt 3D chromosome architecture or establish super-enhancers to activate oncogenic transcription of proto-oncogenes.
