Magnetic behavior and role of the antiphase boundaries in Fe3O4 epitaxial films sputtered on MgO (001)

TL;DR: Magnetite Fe3O4 films were grown on single crystal MgO (001) substrates using facing target sputtering technique in this paper, which confirmed the stoichiometric repartition of Fe cations corresponding to the inverse spinel structure and the electronic structure characteristic of bulk Fe 3O4.
Journal ArticleDOI

Perpendicular magnetoresistance in Co/Cu multilayered nanowires

TL;DR: In this paper, magnetoresistance measurements in the CPP (current perpendicular to the planes) geometry of electrodeposited Co/Cu multilayered nanowires with Cu and Co layer thicknesses varying over wide ranges were carried out.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hybrid chiral domain walls and skyrmions in magnetic multilayers

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors show how in such multilayered systems the interlayer interactions can actually lead to more complex, hybrid chiral magnetisation arrangements, and demonstrate a simple yet reliable method for determining the magnitude of the DMI from static domains measurements even in the presence of these hybrid chirality structures, by taking into account the actual profile of the DWs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spin relaxation effects in the perpendicular magnetoresistance of magnetic multilayers

TL;DR: A theoretical picture of the effects of spin-diffusion-length effects on the magnetoresistance and the contribution from several mechanisms (spin-orbit scattering, exchange scattering by paramagnetic impurities, electron-magnon scattering) is presented.
