Journal ArticleDOI

Shape-specific recognition in the structure of the Vts1p SAM domain with RNA.

TL;DR: The solution structures of the SAM domain of the Saccharomyces cerevisiae VTS1p (Vts1p-SAM) and the Smaug response element (SRE) stem-loop RNA as a complex and in isolation show that Vts1 p-SAM recognizes predominantly the shape of the SRE rather than its sequence, with the exception of a G located at the tip of the pentaloop.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multiple RNA surveillance pathways limit aberrant expression of iron uptake mRNAs and prevent iron toxicity in S. cerevisiae

TL;DR: The results show that RNA surveillance through multiple ribonucleolytic pathways plays a role in iron homeostasis in yeast to avoid the potentially toxic effects of the expression of the iron starvation response in iron-replete conditions.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

17.5 A 3T1R nonvolatile TCAM using MLC ReRAM with Sub-1ns search time

TL;DR: A single-macro nonvolatile TCAM (nvTCAM) can be used for BD-processors to reduce area and facilitate fast/low-power wake-up operations, compared to the 2- Macro approach, and ReRAM is promising for nvTCAM due to its low Ew, high resistance-ratio (R-Ratio), and multiple-level cell (MLC) capability.
Journal ArticleDOI

The roles of endonucleolytic cleavage and exonucleolytic digestion in the 5'-end processing of S. cerevisiae box C/D snoRNAs.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the majority of independently transcribed box C/D snoRNAs from the yeast genome undergo 5'- end processing and that the Rnt1p endonuclease and the Xrn1p and Rat1p 5' --> 3'exonucleases have partially redundant functions in the 5'-end processing of these sno RNAs.
