The condensation origin of zoned metal grains in Queen Alexandra Range 94411: Implications for the formation of the Bencubbin‐like chondrites

TL;DR: In this paper, the compositional profiles across large chemically-zoned Fe,Ni metal grains in the Bencubbin-like chondrite Queen Alexandra Range (QUE) 94411 were analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Heavily‐hydrated lithic clasts in CH chondrites and the related, metal‐rich chondrites Queen Alexandra Range 94411 and Hammadah al Hamra 237

TL;DR: In this paper, the presence of aqueous alteration of chondrules and metal grains in CB and CH chondrites indicates that the clasts experienced hydration in an asteroidal setting prior to incorporation into the CH and CB parent bodies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of environmental conditions and skeletal ultrastructure on the Li isotopic composition of scleractinian corals

TL;DR: In this article, the lithium isotope compositions (Li-7/Li-6) and Li/Ca ratios of shallow-water and deep-sea corals (Porites lutea, Cladocora caespitosa, Lophelia pertusa and Desmophyllum cristagalli) were measured using a Cameca ims 1270 ion microprobe.
Journal ArticleDOI

In vitro and in vivo characterization of Clostridium scindens bile acid transformations.

TL;DR: The bile acid transformations carried out by the 7-dehydroxylating bacterium Clostridium scindens in vitro and in vivo are detailed and NanoSIMS (Nanoscale Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry) is demonstrated to demonstrate that the large intestine constitutes a niche for C. scinden, where it efficiently 7- deHydroxylates cholic acid to deoxycholic acid.
