Evaluation of subsurface damage by light scattering techniques
Marcus Trost,Marcus Trost,Tobias Herffurth,Tobias Herffurth,David Schmitz,David Schmitz,Sven Schröder,Angela Duparré,Andreas Tünnermann,Andreas Tünnermann +9 more
TL;DR: This paper reports on the characterization of SSD in ground and polished optical surfaces, using different light scattering measurement techniques in the visible and extreme ultraviolet spectral ranges, for fused silica, borosilicate glass, and calcium fluoride.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Novel TMA telescope based on ultra precise metal mirrors
Stefan Risse,Andreas Gebhardt,Christoph Damm,Thomas Peschel,W. Stöckl,Torsten Feigl,S. Kirschstein,Ramona Eberhardt,Norbert Kaiser,Andreas Tünnermann +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, a three-mirror-anastigmat (TMA) telescope was designed in aluminium for the Jena-Optonik GmbH JSS-56 product line.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inscription of high contrast volume Bragg gratings in fused silica with femtosecond laser pulses
Christian Voigtländer,Daniel Richter,Jens Thomas,Andreas Tünnermann,Andreas Tünnermann,Stefan Nolte,Stefan Nolte +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a volume Bragg gratings (VBGs) with a period of 1.075 μm inscribed in fused silica using a femtosecond laser and a phase mask were used as reflecting elements with reflectivities of about 80% for a 1mm-long grating.

Microdrilling of metals with an inexpensive and compact ultra-short-pulse fiber amplified microchip laser
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the ultra-fast microdrilling of metals using a compact and cheap fiber amplified passively Q-switched microchip laser, which delivers 100-ps pulses with repetition rates higher than 100 kHz and pulse energies up to 80 μJ.
