Prediction of survival in follicular lymphoma based on molecular features of tumor-infiltrating immune cells
Sandeep S. Dave,George E. Wright,Bruce K. Tan,Andreas Rosenwald,Andreas Rosenwald,Randy D. Gascoyne,Wing C. Chan,Richard I. Fisher,Rita M. Braziel,Lisa M. Rimsza,Thomas M. Grogan,Thomas P. Miller,Michael LeBlanc,Timothy C. Greiner,Dennis D. Weisenburger,James C. Lynch,Julie M. Vose,James O. Armitage,Erlend B. Smeland,Stein Kvaløy,Harald Holte,Jan Delabie,Joseph M. Connors,Peter M. Lansdorp,Qin Ouyang,T. Andrew Lister,Andrew Davies,Andrew J. Norton,H. Konrad Muller-Hermelink,German Ott,Elias Campo,Emilio Montserrat,Wyndham H. Wilson,Elaine S. Jaffe,Richard M. Simon,Liming Yang,John Powell,Hong Zhao,Neta Goldschmidt,Michael Chiorazzi,Louis M. Staudt +40 more
TL;DR: The length of survival among patients with follicular lymphoma correlates with the molecular features of nonmalignant immune cells present in the tumor at diagnosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Brief, high-temperature heat denaturation (pressure cooking): A simple and effective method of antigen retrieval for routinely processed tissues
TL;DR: This work investigated an alternative method of heat‐mediated antigen retrieval (HMAR), using a domestic pressure cooker as a source of superheating, and found the range of antigens retrieved and the antigen for which heating was ineffective matched the published microwave experience.
Journal ArticleDOI
Long-term effect of a watch and wait policy versus immediate systemic treatment for asymptomatic advanced-stage non-Hodgkin lymphoma: a randomised controlled trial.
Kirit M. Ardeshna,Paul Smith,Andrew J. Norton,Barry W. Hancock,Peter Hoskin,K. A. MacLennan,Robert Marcus,A.M. Jelliffe,G. Vaughan Hudson,David C. Linch +9 more
TL;DR: An initial policy of watchful waiting in patients with asymptomatic, advanced stage low-grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma is appropriate, especially in patients older than age 70 years.
Journal ArticleDOI
Histopathology, cell proliferation indices and clinical outcome in 304 patients with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL): a clinicopathological study from the European MCL Network.
Markus Tiemann,Carsten Schrader,Wolfram Klapper,Martin Dreyling,Elias Campo,Andrew J. Norton,Françoise Berger,Philip M. Kluin,German Ott,Stephano Pileri,Ennio Pedrinis,Alfred C. Feller,Hartmut Merz,Dirk Janssen,Martin L. Hansmann,Han van Krieken,Peter Möller,Harald Stein,Michael Unterhalt,Wolfgang Hiddemann,Reza Parwaresch +20 more
TL;DR: Based on this large clinicopathological study of prospective clinical trials, multivariate analysis confirmed the central prognostic role of cell proliferation and its superiority to all other histomorphological and clinical criteria.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mantle cell lymphoma: natural history defined in a serially biopsied population over a 20-year period.
Andrew J. Norton,Janet Matthews,V. I. Pappa,Jonathan Shamash,Sharon Love,A. Z. S. Rohatiner,T. A. Lister +6 more
TL;DR: This study emphasises the difficulties in treating mantle cell lymphoma and the high frequency and prognostic importance of histological transformation.
