Journal ArticleDOI
The World Health Organization Fetal Growth Charts: A Multinational Longitudinal Study of Ultrasound Biometric Measurements and Estimated Fetal Weight
Torvid Kiserud,Torvid Kiserud,Gilda Piaggio,Guillermo Carroli,Mariana Widmer,José Ferreira de Carvalho,Lisa Neerup Jensen,Daniel Giordano,José Guilherme Cecatti,Hany Abdel Aleem,Sameera A. Talegawkar,Alexandra Benachi,Anke Diemert,Antoinette Tshefu Kitoto,Jadsada Thinkhamrop,Pisake Lumbiganon,Ann Tabor,Alka Kriplani,Rogelio Gonzalez Perez,Kurt Hecher,Mark A. Hanson,A Metin Gülmezoglu,Lawrence D. Platt +22 more
TL;DR: There was asymmetric distribution of growth of EFW: a slightly wider distribution among the lower percentiles during early weeks shifted to a notably expanded distribution of the higher percentiles in late pregnancy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Perinatal morbidity and mortality in early-onset fetal growth restriction: cohort outcomes of the trial of randomized umbilical and fetal flow in Europe (TRUFFLE)
Christoph Lees,Christoph Lees,Neil Marlow,Birgit Arabin,C. M. Bilardo,Christoph Brezinka,J. B. Derks,J.J. Duvekot,Tiziana Frusca,Anke Diemert,Enrico Ferrazzi,Wessel Ganzevoort,Kurt Hecher,Pasquale Martinelli,E. Ostermayer,Aris T. Papageorghiou,Dietmar Schlembach,Ktm Schneider,Baskaran Thilaganathan,Tullia Todros,A. G. van Wassenaer-Leemhuis,Adriana Valcamonico,Gerard H. A. Visser,Hans Wolf +23 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report cohort outcomes for a prospective multicenter randomized management study of fetal growth restriction (Trial of Randomized Umbilical and Fetal Flow in Europe (TRUFFLE)) performed in 20 European perinatal centers between 2005 and 2010.
Journal ArticleDOI
2 year neurodevelopmental and intermediate perinatal outcomes in infants with very preterm fetal growth restriction (TRUFFLE): a randomised trial
Christoph Lees,Christoph Lees,Neil Marlow,Aleid G. van Wassenaer-Leemhuis,Birgit Arabin,Caterina M. Bilardo,Christoph Brezinka,Sandra Calvert,Jan B. Derks,Anke Diemert,Johannes J. Duvekot,Enrico Ferrazzi,Tiziana Frusca,Tiziana Frusca,Wessel Ganzevoort,Kurt Hecher,Pasquale Martinelli,E. Ostermayer,Aris T. Papageorghiou,Dietmar Schlembach,Karl-Theo Maria Schneider,Baskaran Thilaganathan,Tullia Todros,Adriana Valcamonico,Gerard H. A. Visser,Hans Wolf +25 more
TL;DR: The proportion of infants surviving without neuroimpairment was non-significant at the primary endpoint, and timing of delivery based on the study protocol using late changes in the DV waveform might produce an improvement in developmental outcomes at 2 years of age.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical outcome and placental characteristics of monochorionic diamniotic twin pairs with early- and late-onset discordant growth.
Liesbeth Lewi,Leonardo Gucciardo,A. Huber,Jacques Jani,Tim Van Mieghem,Elisa Done,Mieke Cannie,E. Gratacós,Anke Diemert,Kurt Hecher,Paul Lewi,Jan Deprest +11 more
TL;DR: Unequal placental sharing appears to be involved in the etiology of early-onset discordant growth, whereas a late intertwin transfusion imbalance may be involvedIn some cases with late-ONSet discordants growth.
Journal ArticleDOI
The pregnancy and long-term neurodevelopmental outcome of monochorionic diamniotic twin gestations: a multicenter prospective cohort study from the first trimester onward.
Els Ortibus,Enrico Lopriore,Jan Deprest,Frank P.H.A. Vandenbussche,Frans J. Walther,Anke Diemert,Kurt Hecher,Lieven Lagae,Paul De Cock,Paul Lewi,Liesbeth Lewi +10 more
TL;DR: The mortality in this prospective series of 136 monochorionic diamniotic twin pregnancies was 8% and neurodevelopmental impairment occurred in 10% of infants, whereas early-onset discordant growth only increased the risk of death.
