Journal ArticleDOI

Isolated mangiferin and naringenin exert antidiabetic effect via PPARγ/GLUT4 dual agonistic action with strong metabolic regulation.

TL;DR: SA1 and SA2 might be potential antidiabetic lead compounds for future drug development after it was suggested that both compounds reduced blood glucose level, restored body weight, and normalized lipid concentrations in the serum and oxidative stress biomarkers in the liver and pancreas.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Morphology and Concentration on Crossover between Antioxidant and Pro-oxidant Activity of MgO Nanostructures.

TL;DR: Findings establish guidelines for the selection of MgO nanostructures for diverse therapeutic applications and highlight nanoparticles as potent scavengers of O2•- in the dark.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development of lamivudine containing multiple emulsions stabilized by gum odina

TL;DR: In this paper, a multiple emulsion (W/O/W) of lamivudine was developed using a new biopolymer, gum odina (GOd), to increase bioavailability and patient compliances.
Journal ArticleDOI

Floating mucoadhesive alginate beads of amoxicillin trihydrate: A facile approach for H. pylori eradication.

TL;DR: The results exhibited that formulated beads may be preferred to localize the antibiotic in the gastric region to allow more availability of antibiotic at gastric mucus layer acting on Helicobacter pylori, thereby improving the therapeutic efficacy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antiproliferative effect of isolated isoquinoline alkaloid from Mucuna pruriens seeds in hepatic carcinoma cells

TL;DR: M1 possessed antiproliferative activity on Huh-7 cells and also inhibited the action of caspase-8 enzyme, signified process of apoptosis, suggesting that M1 had strong binding affinity to caspases-8 in molecular modelling.
