Journal ArticleDOI

Photo double ionization of ethylene and acetylene near threshold

TL;DR: In this article, the photo-double ionization of a centrosymmetric closed-shell molecule was investigated and the results in terms of the coincident kinetic energy of the photoelectrons and the nuclear kinetic energy release of recoiling ions were discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Attosecond transient absorption spooktroscopy: a ghost imaging approach to ultrafast absorption spectroscopy

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed and demonstrated a new technique to conduct transient absorption spectroscopy with broad bandwidth attosecond pulses with the aid of ghost imaging, recovering sub-bandwidth resolution in photoproduct-based absorption measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photoelectron Diffraction Imaging of a Molecular Breakup Using an X-Ray Free-Electron Laser

TL;DR: Kastirke et al. as mentioned in this paper measured the molecular-frame photoelectron emission patterns for a two-photon sequential K-shell ionization in coincidence with the fragment ions, and by sorting the data as a function of the measured kinetic energy release, they can resolve the elongation of the molecular bond by approximately 1.2 a.u.
