Journal ArticleDOI
Applying the ATN scheme in a memory clinic population: The ABIDE project
Daniele Altomare,Arno de Wilde,Rik Ossenkoppele,Wiesje Pelkmans,Femke H. Bouwman,Colin Groot,Ingrid S. van Maurik,Marissa D. Zwan,Maqsood Yaqub,Frederik Barkhof,Bart N.M. van Berckel,Charlotte E. Teunissen,Giovanni B. Frisoni,Giovanni B. Frisoni,Philip Scheltens,Wiesje M. van der Flier +15 more
TL;DR: The ATN scheme identified different biomarker profiles with overlapping baseline features and patterns of cognitive decline, which may have different implications in patients with vs without dementia, poses a challenge to the application of the ATn scheme.
Journal ArticleDOI
Image derived input functions for dynamic High Resolution Research Tomograph PET brain studies
Jurgen E. M. Mourik,Floris H. P. van Velden,Mark Lubberink,Reina W. Kloet,Bart N.M. van Berckel,Adriaan A. Lammertsma,Ronald Boellaard +6 more
TL;DR: The results of this study indicate that the use of IDIFs, extracted from 3D ordinary Poisson ordered subsets expectation maximization and PVC OP-OSEM images, is feasible for dynamic HRRT data, thereby obviating the need for online arterial sampling.
Journal ArticleDOI
The EMIF-AD PreclinAD study : study design and baseline cohort overview
Elles Konijnenberg,Stephen F. Carter,Mara ten Kate,Anouk den Braber,Anouk den Braber,Jori Tomassen,Chinenye Amadi,Linda M.P. Wesselman,Hoang Ton Nguyen,Jacoba A. van de Kreeke,Maqsood Yaqub,Matteo Demuru,Sandra D. Mulder,Arjan Hillebrand,Femke H. Bouwman,Charlotte E. Teunissen,Erik H. Serné,Annette C. Moll,Frank D. TL;DR: A rich baseline dataset of cognitively normal elderly individuals has been established to estimate risk factors and biomarkers for amyloid pathology and future cognitive decline.
Journal ArticleDOI
Secondary prevention of Alzheimer's dementia: neuroimaging contributions
Mara ten Kate,Silvia Ingala,Adam J. Schwarz,Adam J. Schwarz,Nick C. Fox,Gaël Chételat,Bart N.M. van Berckel,Michael Ewers,Chris Foley,Juan Domingo Gispert,Derek L. G. Hill,Michael C. Irizarry,Adriaan A. Lammertsma,José Luis Molinuevo,Craig W. Ritchie,Philip Scheltens,Mark E. Schmidt,Pieter Jelle Visser,Adam D. Waldman,Joanna M. Wardlaw,Sven Haller,Frederik Barkhof,Frederik Barkhof +22 more
TL;DR: A strategy for longitudinal imaging to track early signs of AD including quantitative amyloid PET and yearly multiparametric MRI is proposed and requires further validation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantification of Tau Load Using [18F]AV1451 PET
Sandeep S.V. Golla,Tessa Timmers,Rik Ossenkoppele,Colin Groot,Sander C.J. Verfaillie,Philip Scheltens,Wiesje M. van der Flier,Lothar A. Schwarte,Mark A. Mintun,Michael D. Devous,Robert C. Schuit,Albert D. Windhorst,Adriaan A. Lammertsma,Ronald Boellaard,Ronald Boellaard,Bart N.M. van Berckel,Maqsood Yaqub +16 more
TL;DR: The relationship between model preference and VT suggests that (higher) tau load may be reflected by a second tissue compartment in Alzheimer’s disease, and consistent results can be obtained using a 2T4k_VB model.
