Journal ArticleDOI

Biofilm-induced changes to the composite surface.

TL;DR: Investigation of the effect of single- and multi-species biofilms on the surface roughness and topography of two composites found S. mutans alone significantly increased the roughness of Tetric by 40.3%, while its effect on Gradia was lower (12%).
Journal ArticleDOI

Fatigue resistance of dentin/composite interfaces with an additional intermediate elastic layer.

TL;DR: An additional elastic intermediate layer did decrease significantly the microrotary fatigue resistance (microRFR), but did not alter the microTBS, which most likely may be explained by the lower mechanical properties of the intermediary layer.
Journal Article

Microrotary fatigue resistance of a HEMA-free all-in-one adhesive bonded to dentin.

TL;DR: Ineffective drying and pooling of the adhesive in a narrow cavity diminished the effect of strong air drying of the all-in-one adhesive, although a very thorough (4 bar) and long air-drying procedure was employed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Freshly-mixed and setting calcium-silicate cements stimulate human dental pulp cells.

TL;DR: Using freshly-mixed and setting hCSCs is an appropriate approach to test the effect of the materials on human dental pulp cells, and the experimental material containing PPL is non-cytotoxic and positively stimulates HDPCs.
